New England Run For The Fallen

Using the model from America’s Run for the Fallen tribute in 2018, Honor and Remember Inc. has established the New England Run for the Fallen. An organized tribute event to run specific miles for every New England Fallen Service Member who died as a result of serving from any circumstance during the War on Terror.

We run dedicated miles to honor and remember each fallen hero who died since the GWOT began. However, regardless of war or conflict, branch of service or cause of death, we ultimately run for them all. We honor their service and sacrifice, and remember that they each gave up a future so that we could have ours. We give tribute to them by name wherever possible and to the sacrifice of the families they left behind.

A core team of marathon trained runners, along with a support crew running a specific timed schedule, will stop at one mile intervals at a pre-placed marker and speak out loud the name of each fallen service member, date of death and branch of service. Family members, friends and patriots will be waiting at their marker to meet the runners and hear each name called out in a short ceremony.  Each ceremonial stop will be less than 1 minute as runners then continue toward the next marker.
