Come Decorate a shirt for THE CLOTHESLINE PROJECT

April 15 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 9:00 am on Saturday, repeating until April 29, 2023

The Clothesline Project

The Clothesline Project is a powerful, visual display and a creative vehicle, for people affected by violence, to express their emotions, by decorating a shirt. Each color t-shirt represents a different form of Abuse. T-shirts are then hung on a clothesline to be viewed by others as a testimony to the violence that can be found in our own community. The purpose of the project is to increase awareness, about the impact of violence & abuse and to honor a survivor’s strength to continue, and to provide another avenue for them to courageously break the silence, that often surrounds their experience.

Monson Against Violence Everywhere invites you to come decorate a t-shirt in honor of yourself or someone you love. There is no cost to participate. All supplies will be provided!
